Many people over the age of 50 have loss their life partner due to death or have went through a divorce. Many of those individuals are realizing that they do not want to spend the golden years of their lives alone and are looking for to find love the second time around. Senior citizens events and online dating sites have made it a-lot easier for people to find their better half.

There are many benefits to finding love in one’s older age. Studies suggest that older people who have a life partner live longer lives than those who are single. There are numerous explanations for this finding. One probable cause is that having a life partner means that one has someone to care for him or her when he or she is sick. Another possible explanation is that people who have life partners are more likely to take care of themselves than those who do not. Additionally, many other studies have shown that solitude is not good for one’s health. Everyone deserves to have that special person regardless of his or her age.
